Reflexiones en torno a unos antropólogos y antropólogas de género

Abstract
En Venezuela la Antropología se ha desarrollado y caracterizado por ser
“Androcéntrica”. Sólo existen dos escuelas en pregrado, tres maestrías y
dos doctorados en Antropología. Este artículo aborda los aportes de algunas
antropólogas feministas para acercarnos a la problemática de la mujer desde
la Antropología de la Mujer (mujeres) y a la Antropología de Género o de los
géneros. Asimismo, el cómo y para qué se investiga, la preocupación metodológica
es transformar la relación jerárquica entre investigador/a e investigada
(tradicionalmente) cambiándola por una relación de igualdad y reciprocidad,
resaltando la importancia de la investigación antropológica no solamente sobre
mujeres, sino para mujeres y con mujeres y rescatar su importancia en el actual
debate nacional y latinoamericano.

| Resumen en otro Idioma | Venezuelan anthropology in its development has been characterized by a certain androcentricity. In Venezuelan universities there are only two schools of anthropology at the undergraduate level, three masters programs, and two doctoral programs. In this article we analyze the attempt of feminist anthropologists to establish both a Women’s Anthropology and Gender Anthropology. Moreover, areas for research and adequate methodologies are seen to be required to transform the relational hierarchy between the researcher and the researched into one of egalitarian reciprocity. This would highlight the importance of anthropological studies not only about women, but for women and with women, so that the whole research area is dignified on the national and Latin American fronts. |
