Blastomycosis

In smears of the mycelial phase of the Blastomyces dermatitidis thin hyphae and microconidias are found. The latter are connected with the hyphae by short and thin stalks. The culture of Paracoccidioides brasiliensis in the mycelial phase looks similar.
