| dc.description.abstract | El presenta artículo trata sobre la lengua y la literatura sefardi. La autora expone los aspectos más relevantes de la lengua judeo-española: el posible origen de la palabra "ladino"; los diversos nombres que los safardíes dieron a la lengua que hablaban en familia; las influencias de otras lenguas sobre el judeo-español; y finalmente sus caracteristicas linguisticas.
Luego, la autora pasa a la literatura sefardí, abordando primero la literatura sagrada y luego el género literario más conocido y difundido por los judíos españoles: el "romance Sefardí". Aquí se hace un pequeño esbozo sobre algunos aspectos de este género poético, resaltando la importancia que tuvo para los judíos como medio de expresión de sus vivencías cotidianas, de sus alegrías y pesares tanto en

| dc.description.abstract1 | The present article deals with the Sephardic language and literature. The author exposes the most relevant aspects of the Judeo-Spanish language: the possible origin of the word "ladino"; the various names that the Safardis gave to the language they spoke as a family; the influences of other languages on Judeo-Spanish; and finally its linguistic characteristics.
Then, the author turns to Sephardic literature, first addressing sacred literature and then the best known and most widespread literary genre by Spanish Jews: the "Sefardic romance". Here is a small sketch on some aspects of this poetic genre, highlighting the importance it had for the Jews as a means of expression of their daily experiences, their joys and sorrows both in Spain and in exile. | es_VE |
