dc.description.abstractLa atención humanizada del parto y el nacimiento se fundamenta en la valoración de los aspectos afectivo-emocionales y una experiencia de atención mejorada a las mujeres evitando las acciones de violencia hacia las mujeres. Analizamos los diferentes modelos, conceptos y teorías sobre el parto humanizado; identificando los aspectos relevantes de las diferentes posturas teóricas. Métodos: El presente es un estudio de tipo documental. Se tuvieron en cuenta las bases de datos: Dynamed, Evidence-Based Medicine Updates, Google Academic, New EBSCO HOST, England Journal of Medicine, Medscape, PubMed. Resultados: Se presentan las diferentes perspectivas de diferentes autores con respecto al concepto de parto humanizado. Se exponen las recomendaciones actuales sobre las prácticas llevadas a cabo durante los partos de bajo riesgo. El parto humanizado impacta directamente en el bienestar de la mujer. Es indispensable procurar las ventajas que otorga, entre los que se destacan, de tipo físico, sicosocial, emocional, familiar y entre los más importantes, el empoderamiento de la mujer para que sus decisiones sean las más beneficiosas.es_VE
