Propósito: La Limitación del Esfuerzo Terapéutico resulta impropio e inadecuado. En existencia lo que se está concibiendo no es limitar lo terapéutico planteado, sino más bien adaptarlo yajustarlo a las exigencias actuales que tiene el paciente para su condición médica. El objetivo de la investigación es hacer una reflexión sobre el manejo terapéutico clínico actual del niño gravemente enfermo producto de una enfermedad degenerativa discapacitante o por malformaciones congénitas, asimismo identificar cuáles son los principales dilemas bioéticos y biojurídicos suscitados para ajustarlo a las exigencias actuales que tiene el paciente pediátrico para su condición médica. Enfoque: El concepto de niño conforme a lo largo del tiempo ha sufrido importantes alteraciones, alcanzando plenamente su reconocimiento como sujeto social y de derechos y su participación de manera activa en el proceso de toma de decisiones según su capacidad progresiva.Descripción:La biojurídica o bioderecho, debe propender el análisis de los problemas vinculados con la salud pública y la medicina social. El bioderecho hoy día, es una rama del derecho que busca que de manera legal se respeten reglas básicas del ser humano desde el punto de vista bioético.Punto de vista: Estas decisiones derivadas del innovador avance biotecnológico han representado inmensos desafíos morales, a los que le debe dar respuesta la sociedad en su conjunto, pero muy principalmente los médicos pediatras que tienen a su cargo estos niños. Conclusión:al inicio del presente siglo, la limitación del esfuerzo terapéutico está claramente presente en las áreas de los cuidados críticos y parece seguir aumentando. Se aplica más a los niños gravemente enfermos con gran compromiso de su estado de salud que se torne irreversible y donde su muerte es inminente.

Conclusion: at the beginning of this century, thelimitation of therapeutic effort is clearly present in the critical care areas and it seems to continue increasing. It applies more to seriously ill children with a great compromise of their state of health that becomes irreversible and where their death is imminent. |
