Résumé
El objetivo de la investigación fue caracterizar los escenarios de
producción de ovinos del municipio de las Tunas y su periferia
en Cuba, como paso previo a un proceso de tipificación.
Se analizaron variables del comportamiento productivo y
reproductivo, del manejo, alimentación, estructurales, sociales
y edafoclimáticas de 49 escenarios productivos, lo que implicó
que se examinaran 68, de ellas 22 cuantitativas y 46 cualitativas.
Se ejecutó un análisis descriptivo para cada grupo de variables,
el cual sirvió como el primer criterio para la reducción de
las mismas. La información poco relevante y redundante se
descartó. Se ejecutaron de manera iterativa hasta llegar a los
mejores ajustes en los modelos, los análisis de componentes
principales ordinarios y componentes principales categóricos
para las variables cuantitativas y cualitativas, respectivamente.
Desde un enfoque cuantitativo, las variables: total de animales,
total de reproductoras, reproductoras gestantes anuales,
nacimientos totales y corderos destetados constituyeron el factor
más importante en la diferenciación entre las fincas. En el caso
de las variables cualitativas resultaron ser factores el tipo de
pastoreo, prioridad de la actividad ovina, condición de la vivienda,
y formas de comercialización. Con la presente investigación se
logró determinar las características particulares y promedios de
la totalidad de las fincas y del entorno referente a la producción
de ovinos en municipio Las Tunas, Cuba y su periferia, lo
que constituye información clave para desarrollar estrategias
tecnológicas y de gestión.

| Resumen en otro Idioma | The objective of the investigation was to characterize the scenarios of production of sheep of the periphery of the Municipality of the Las Tunas in Cuba and its periphery, like previous step to a classification process. Variables of the productive and reproductive performance, of the handling, feeding, structural, social and soil climatic were analyzed of 49 productive scenarios, what implied that 68 were examined, of them 22 quantitative and 46 qualitative. A descriptive analysis was executed for each group of variables, which was good as the first approach for the reduction of the same ones. The not very outstanding and redundant information was discarded. There were executed repetitive until the best adjustments were made in the models, the analyses of ordinary main components and categorical main components for the quantitative and qualitative variables respectively. With the variables of higher discriminating power, several analysis of hierarchical conglomerates were performed. From a quantitative approach, the variables: total of animals, total of breeder, annual pregnant breeder, total births and weaned lambs constituted the most important factor in the differentiation among the ranches. In the case of the qualitative variables, the factors were the grazing type, priority of the sheep activity, condition of the housing, and commercialization forms. With the present investigation it was possible to determine the particular characteristics and averages of the entirety of the properties and of the environment with respect to the sheep production, in Municipality Las Tunas, Cuba and their periphery, what constitutes key information to develop technological strategies and of administration. |
