Resumen

El tema de este artículo es la exégesis del discurso de José Manuel Briceño Guerrero. Las múltiples voces que conforman el discurso provienen de una sola conciencia que utiliza al lenguaje literario para expresar sus reflexiones sobre el lenguaje desde los ámbitos de la filosofía y la lingüística. El discurso de este escritor venezolano es uno de los más significativos de la literatura venezolana contemporánea, debido a la originalidad de crear un discurso literario, cuyo centro es el lenguaje y la reflexión sobre la manera de aprehender el mundo a través de él. Se abordará la literatura desde el lenguaje, ese fenómeno humano inevitable y hermoso que hace posible la comunión entre seres humanos, al tiempo que crea un espacio lingüístico en el cual el ser humano es, se encuentra consigo mismo y con el otro.

Abstract

The topic of this article is the exegesis of the discourse of José Manuel Briceño Guerrero. The multiple voices that conform his speech, proceed from a single conscience that uses literary language to express its reflections about language, from the perspective of philosophy and linguistics. This Venezuelan writer’s discourse is one of the most significant in the contemporary literature of the country, due to the originality of creating a literary discourse the center of which is language and a reflection as to the way to conceive the world through such a language. Literature is approached through this language, that unavoidable and beautiful human phenomenon that makes communication among human beings possible, while creating at the same time a linguistic space in which the human being exists, encounters himself, and confronts others.
