| Resumen en otro Idioma | To date, no studies have been conducted on the diversity of certain insect groups in the Botanical Garden of the "Rafael Rangel" University Center of the University of Los Andes, Trujillo. Therefore, the objective of this research was to study the biodiversity of Hymenoptera. Sampling was carried out from May to September 2022 using Yellow and Malaise traps. The collected material was processed, separated, and specimens of Hymenoptera families were selected using the manual by Wharton et al. (1997). A total of 18,151 specimens were captured: 17,534 from Yellow traps, where 24 families were identified, and 617 from Malaise traps, where 10 families were collected. When species richness was measured using the Margalef index (Dmg), it was found to be 2.35 for Yellow Traps and 1.40 for Malaise, indicating greater family richness in the Yellow Traps. Meanwhile, for alpha diversity, the Simpson index (?) values were less than 1, indicating the absence of a dominant family, even though Formicidae had the highest number of individuals in both traps. These results were supported by those obtained for the Shannon-Wiener index (H') and Dmg in the study areas. However, Hill numbers (N1 and N2) determined the importance of no more than one family according to the environment, with Formicidae being the most represented, followed by Ichneumonidae, Trigonalidae, Pompilidae, and Braconidae, which are parasitoids, pollinators, and predators, respectively. |
