| dc.description.abstract | Este artículo aborda la construcción social de un espacio
sagrado transatlántico en Cagua (Venezuela), dedicado a la Virgen
de las Nieves, patrona de La Palma (Canarias) erigido por emigrantes
palmeros. A partir de mil textos devocionales (1987–1997), analizados
desde la teoría hermenéutica y simbólica de las humanidades
combinada con una etnografía en miniatura, se interpreta cómo la
escritura religiosa configura comunidad, memoria y pertenencia,
consolidando una ética solidaria que une ambas orillas atlánticas.

sacred space in Cagua (Venezuela), dedicated to the Virgin of the
Snows, patron saint of La Palma (Canary Islands), established by
emigrants from the island. Drawing on one thousand devotional texts
(1987–1997), interpreted through the hermeneutic and symbolic theory
of the humanities combined with a miniature ethnography approach,
the study examines how religious writing shapes community, memory,
and belonging, consolidating an ethic of solidarity that connects both
