| dc.description.abstract | La calidad de vida y el confort urbano son temas de gran importancia a nivel
internacional, especialmente en el contexto de los objetivos de la agenda 2030. Para
abordar estos temas de manera efectiva, es fundamental adoptar una visión holística de
la ciudad, entendiendo que se trata no solo del lugar donde vive la población, sino
también de un organismo vivo resultado de las interacciones sociales y de un acuerdo
entre las partes. En este sentido, es necesario promover mecanismos que permitan una
participación real de los ciudadanos en la toma de decisiones y en el diseño de
políticas públicas que regulen esas decisiones. En Venezuela, existen diversas
normativas que regulan la participación ciudadana en materia urbana, pero es necesario
revisarlas y fortalecerlas para impulsar una gestión más participativa y efectiva. En
el caso de Mérida, es fundamental promover mecanismos de participación formales y no
formales que fomenten la mixtura social y confronten la segregación social y funcional
de las ciudades. Asimismo, es importante promover una cultura ciudadana basada en el
respeto y la convivencia pacífica como valores fundamentales, lo que permitirá un
sentido de pertenencia real por parte de la ciudadanía y, por consiguiente, un mejor
ambiente de convivencia y confort en el espacio común. | es_VE |
