dc.description.abstractEn 1946 se publicaba en Buenos Aires la primera de las cuatro biografías que escribió Mariano Picón Salas: Miranda. La obra no será la primera ni la última de las biografías y estudios dedicados a la vida excepcional de este venezolano que ha atraído el interés de historiadores e investigadores en todo el mundo. Sin embargo, la biografía escrita por Picón Salas contiene, a nuestro entender, características que le otorgan un lugar especial dentro de la literatura mirandina. Este trabajo intentará estudiar estas características y establecer el lugar que ocupa la biografía escrita por Picón Salas en el contexto de los trabajos acerca de Miranda.es_VE

However, the biography written by Picón Salas contains, in our opinion, characteristics that give it a special place in the literature about Miranda. This work will attempt to study these characteristics and establish the place that the biography written by Picón Salas occupies in the context of the works about Miranda.es_VE
