| dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo se pone de relieve las reflexiones de un visionario: el Dr. Marcel
Roche Dugand (1920-2003). Médico, investigador y científico, promotor de
instituciones del sector científico y tecnológico en Venezuela, su país de
nacimiento. Roche no fue un filosofo en el sentido de los grandes pensadores
de la humanidad, sino más bien en la capacidad que tuvo de reflexionar acerca
de su quehacer como investigador y director de instituciones científicas. Su
pensamiento está influido por su propia actividad como científico y por la
conciencia de saberse que estaba haciendo parte de la historia de este país.
Leer sus textos, sus discursos y analizar en perspectiva su aporte nos permite
valorar el aporte humanístico, social, histórico y filosófico de su manera de
concebir, organizar y gestionar la ciencia en Venezuela. | es_VE |

(1920-2003). Doctor, researcher and scientist, promoter of institutions in the
scientific and technological sector in Venezuela, his country of birth. Roche was
not a philosopher in the sense of the great thinkers of humanity, but rather in
the capacity he had to reflect on his work as a researcher and director of
scientific institutions. His thinking is influenced by his own activity as a scientist
and by the awareness of knowing that he was part of the history of this country.
Reading his texts, his speeches and analyzing his contribution in perspective
allows us to value the humanistic, social, historical and philosophical
contribution of his way of conceiving, organizing and managing science in
