dc.description.abstractEl autor hace una descripción de la fiesta de San Benito de Timotes la cual analiza posteriormente, intentando relacionarla, no sólo con las fiestas de los chimbangueles del sureste del Lago de Maracaibo y las de la Candelaria de Mérida, sino también con la fiesta aborigen andina denomina la "bajada del Ches y muestra la incorporación recien de elementos de la modernidad. Finalmente deja abierta la posibilidad que brinda el tema para futuras investigaciones.es_VE
