| dc.description.abstract | El presente artículo trató acerca del Socialismo del Siglo XXI en Venezuela, y como el mismo ha
estado firmemente enraizado en la sustitución de las estructuras simbólicas por un imaginario de
la dependencia que se manifiesta en casi todos los ámbitos de la vida, tanto social como
individual. En medio de la coyuntura actual, se requiere generar configuraciones de significación
dirigidas a consolidar la noción de autonomía, contrarrestando la recurrente propensión del
venezolano a proyectar figuras externas de autoridad, lo que le mantiene sumido en una asfixiante
condición de heteronomía. Es necesario expandir la mirada hacia horizontes inéditos, soltando el

symbolic structures by an imaginary of dependence that manifests itself in almost all spheres of
life, both social and individual. In the midst of the current situation, it is necessary to
generate configurations of meaning aimed at consolidating the notion of autonomy, counteracting
the recurrent propensity of Venezuelans to project external authority figures, which keeps them
submerged in an asphyxiating condition of heteronomy. It is necessary to expand our gaze towards
unprecedented horizons, releasing once and for all the ballast of a past that is proving
