| dc.description.abstract | En el presente documento se considera la crisis del paradigma positivista y neopositivista en la
geografía y se señala la importancia que progresivamente ha tomado la geografía humanista en este
campo del saber científico. Seguidamente, se exponen los fundamentos epistemológicos que la
sustentam, la fenomenología existencial, y se considera la importancia de los lugares como
categoría central de análisis. Posteriormente, se detallan los elementos más importantes de la
teoría de las representaciones sociales así como la teoría de los imaginarios sociales, como
alternativas teóricas-metodológicas para abordar los estudios de corte humanista en la geografía.
Como conclusión, se sugiere la sistematización de ésta literatura y una mayor difusión

| dc.description.abstract1 | This paper considers the crisis of the positivist and neopositivist paradigm in geography and
points out the importance that humanistic geography has progressively taken in this field of
scientific knowledge. Next, the epistemological foundations that sustain it, existential
phenomenology, are presented, and the importance of places as a central category of analysis is
considered. Subsequently, the most important elements of the theory of social representations as
well as the theory of social imaginaries are detailed, as theoretical-methodological alternatives
to approach humanistic studies in geography. In conclusion, the systematization of this
literature and a greater scientific dissemination are suggested. | es_VE |
