Abstract
El siguiente trabajo expone el carácter social, cultural e históricamente específico del concepto de interior doméstico bajo la perspectiva de la historia social del diseño. Con base en un análisis comparativo de las configuraciones de algunos interiores domésticos urbanos de la burguesía y clases medias de Inglaterra, Francia, Italia, Holanda, Alemania, España y Estados Unidos de América desde el siglo XVI al XX, se establecen seis nociones de interior doméstico que reflejan las ideas y valores que estas sociedades priorizaron para darle forma y contenido a este tipo de espacio, conforme con sus necesidades y deseos. <a href"http://erevistas.saber.ula.ve/index.php/designo/article/view/7455/7439">Ver Texto Completo</a>

Resumen en otro IdiomaThe following work outlines the social, cultural and historically-specific character of the concept of domestic interior from the social history of design perspective. Standing on a comparative analysis of the configurations of some urban domestic interiors of the bourgeois and middle classes of England, France, Italy, Holland, Germany, Spain and America from the 16th till the 20th centuries, six notions of the domestic interior are established, which reflect the ideas and values prioritized by these societies to give form and content to such a kind of space according to their needs and wishes.
