Abstract
Una vez transcurridas las dos primeras décadas del siglo xxi, los especialistas en
relaciones internacionales como disciplina científica vienen desarrollando una
nueva línea de investigación cuyo propósito central es analizar el impacto de
redes sociales digitales y la diplomacia. Por ende, el presente aporte pretende
abordar el tema de la diplomacia digital y su impacto en América Latina
durante el último lustro, por lo cual resulta significativo realizar algunas
investigaciones con el objetivo de conocer los aciertos y objeciones del quehacer
diplomático a través de las redes sociales, así como la vinculación entre el
desarrollo de la web 2.0 y el surgimiento de la diplomacia pública digital en
esta región. Tales valoraciones son realizadas con el propósito de generar una
serie de consideraciones para optimizar la praxis virtual de la política exterior
latinoamericana, de cara a la nueva realidad internacional pospandemia.

| Resumen en otro Idioma | After the first two decades of the 21st century have passed, specialists in international relations as a scientific discipline have been developing a new line of research whose main purpose is to analyze the impact of digital social networks and diplomacy. Therefore, this contribution aims to address the issue of digital diplomacy and its impact on Latin America during the last five years, therefore, it is significant to carry out some research with the aim of knowing the successes and objections of diplomatic work through the social networks, as well as the link between the development of web 2.0 and the emergence of digital public diplomacy in this region. Such assessments are made with the purpose of generating a series of considerations to optimize the virtual practice of Latin American foreign policy, in the face of the new international reality post-pandemic. |
