| dc.description.abstract | Cercano a cumplir cuatro décadas y superar el centenar de entregas
continuas y sostenidas, es oportuno intentar la reconstrucción de la trayectoria
del Boletín Antropológico. En procura de este objetivo se estableció el contexto
histórico nacional, regional y local en el que se ha desplegado temporalmente
la revista, el estado de la investigación antropológica y arqueológica
y las posibilidades de difundir esta en Mérida y Venezuela, a fin de analizar e
interpretar su trayectoria y fijar los retos que habrá de enfrentar su continuidad,
no solo por la significación que ha llegado a alcanzar, sino también porque representa
uno de los esfuerzos que mejor retratan la potencia intelectual, capacidad
de trabajo, poder de convocatoria y persistencia creadora de su fundadora:

| dc.description.abstract1 | Close to turning four decades and exceeding one hundred continuous
and sustained deliveries, it is appropriate to attempt to reconstruct the trajectory
of the Anthropological Bulletin. In pursuit of this objective, the national,
regional and local historical context in which the journal has been temporarily
deployed, the status of anthropological and archaeological research and the
possibilities of disseminating it in Mérida and Venezuela were established, in
order to analyze and interpret its trajectory and set the challenges that its continuity
will have to face, not only because of the significance it has reached, but
also because it represents one of the efforts that best portrays the intellectual
power, work capacity, convening power and creative persistence of its founder:
