dc.description.abstractSon muchas las voces de escritoras venezolanas que reposan silentes en catálogos, archivos y bibliotecas del país; en colecciones donde no adquieren la relevancia necesaria. Nuestra tarea consiste hoy en atender sus voces cargadas de experiencias históricas femeninas. Uno de estos casos es el de la escritora venezolana Iginia Bartolomé de Álamo (1893-1991), cuya figura representa una forma particular de protagonismo y testimonio escrito, el cual debe ser conocido y examinado. En este artículo emprendemos la tarea de hablar de la vida y obra de Iginia como autora, mujer, viajera y escritora; lo que constituye un encuentro con su pasado, su formación y su ejercicio intelectual.es_VE

Our task today is to attend to their voices. One of these cases is the Venezuelan writer Iginia Bartolomé de Álamo (1893-1991), whose figure represents a particular form of protagonism and written testimony, which must be known and examined. In this article we undertake the task of talking about the life and work of Iginia as author, woman, traveler and writer; what in a meeting with his past, his training and his intellectual exercise.es_VE
