etnográfico realizado en la comunidad de “La Parroquia” (Municipio Libertador, Parroquia
Juan Rodríguez Suárez, Estado Mérida, Venezuela) en los años 2010-2012, donde se
analiza y reflexiona sobre la manifestación en cuestión, entre otros tópicos toca: Abordaje
general del contexto socio-histórico-cultural, Aspectos fundantes de la manifestación,
Partes del ritual, Dualidad matriarcado-patriarcado a partir del análisis de aspectos
relacionado con la “Virgen de Candelaria”, Mitos de aparición de la Virgen, Especificidades
sobre la “Fiesta” para finalizar con una descripción del ritual en general entre lo que
