Trióptica sobre algunos mitos y leyendas durante el descubrimiento, conquista y colonización de América
Resumen
El trabajo pretende esbozar tres miradas, aparentemente inconexas, sobre algunos mitos
y leyendas durante el descubrimiento, conquista y colonización de América. Cabe resaltar que
para este recorrido nos centramos en los aportes de la mitología clásica, la antropología, la
historia, la educación, la fi lología y la fi losofía; así como algunos aportes desde Jung, Barthes
y Eliade, que sirven para la plataforma teórica. La primera mirada, Mario Briceño-Iragorry
en su disputa sobre la “leyenda dorada” y la “leyenda negra”, entre otros; la segunda, Ángel
Rosenblat y su primera visión de América, entre otros; y, la tercera mirada, Briceño Guerrero con
ciertas descripciones sobre América extraídas de su tesis doctoral (Viena, 1960) intitulada
“Die völkerpsycologischen Grundlagen des lateinamerikanischen Spanisch”, así como de
otros trabajos. Quedan, por supuesto, conexiones abiertas y otras con cierta ilusión de cierre, en tanto
que el mito y la leyenda recrean los imaginarios en esta descubierta, violada, perdida, saqueada,
enguerrillada, permanentemente reconstruida y valiente, América Colonial; porque -aunque nos
duela a los Americanos- seguimos siendo Colonia y con tendencia a la promonarquía, en cuanto a
estructuras sociales y culturales se refiere.

| Resumen en otro Idioma | The work aims to sketch three apparently disjointed glances about some myths and legends during the discovery, conquest and colonization of America. It should be noted that for this tour we focus on the contributions of classical mythology, anthropology, history, education, philology and philosophy; as well as some contributions from Jung, Barthes and Eliade, that serve for the theoretical platform. The fi rst look, Mario Briceño-Iragorry in his dispute on the “golden legend” and the “black legend”, among others; the second, Angel Rosenblat and his fi rst vision of America, among others; and the third look, Briceño Guerrero with certain descriptions about America extracted from his doctoral thesis (Vienna, 1960) entitled “Die völkerpsycologischen Grundlagen des lateinamerikanischen Spanisch”, as well as other works. There remain, of course, open connections and others with a certain illusion of closure, while myth and legend recreate the imaginary in this discovered, raped, lost, looted, on war, permanently rebuilt and valiant, colonial America; because - although it hurts us Americans - we remain as Colony and with a tendency to promonarchy, as far as social and cultural structures are concerned. |
