La presente investigación busca examinar el proceso de institucionalización de los estudios formales del Griego en esta Universidad, haciendo un recuento histórico de la educación en Mérida, de la creación de la cátedra, de los principales actores del hecho educativo y de sus primeros catedráticos.es_VE
