dc.description.abstractEl estudio y la enseñanza del Griego Clásico ha estado presente en la Universidad de Los Andes desde 1885 hasta el día de hoy. La presente investigación busca examinar el proceso de institucionalización de los estudios formales del Griego en esta Universidad, haciendo un recuento histórico de la educación en Mérida, de la creación de la cátedra, de los principales actores del hecho educativo y de sus primeros catedráticos.es_VE
