dc.description.abstractEn este artículo se plantea la pertinencia de utilizar la familia como categoría analítica aplicable a la reconstrucción e interpretación de las relaciones socioeconómicas y políticas, y de las estructuras mentales que caracterizaron 1a sociedad latinoamericana durante la época colonial. Asimismo muestra 1a incorporación de la genealogía social como técnica utilizable en la reconstrucción de los linajes y en la determinación de sus atributos socioeconómicos y políticos.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1In this paper, we consider the pertinence of using the family as an analitic category that can be applied to the reconstruction and interpretation of socioeconomic and political relations and of mental structures that caraterized Latinoamerican society during the colonial epoch. At the same time we presente the incorporation of social genealogy as a useful technique in the reconstruction of lineages and in the determination of their socioeconomic and political atributes.es_VE
