dc.description.abstractEsta investigación tiene como propósito divulgar los cambios institucionales que se han desarrollado en la Universidad Nacional Experimental del Táchira respecto a la enseñanza de la lectura y escritura académicas. Se describen los enfoques que ha tenido la asignatura Lenguaje y Comunicación desde su inclusión en el componente básico de las carreras hasta la actualidad. Además se presentan los argumentos para incluir Oratoria en el pensum de una de las carreras que ofrece la universidad: Entrenamiento Deportivo. Estas transformaciones curriculares: a) han permitido una consolidación de una política lingüística en la universidad; b) han despertado la necesidad de capacitación y actualización del personal docente tanto de lengua materna como de las diferentes disciplinas y; c) han suscitado mayor número de investigaciones relacionadas con la lectura y escritura en el ámbito universitario.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1This research aims to disclose institutional changes developed at the Universidad Nacional Experimental of Táchira about teaching academic reading and writing. We describe the approaches that have been used in Language and Communication since its inclusion on the core curriculum of all degrees up to the present. We also present arguments to introduce Oratory in the curriculum of one of the degrees offered by the University: Athletic Training. These curriculum changes: a) allowed consolidation of the university linguistic policies; b) raised the need of training and updating professors in mother tongue and other disciplines and c) caused a higher number of researches related to academic reading and writing.es_VE
