dc.description.abstractEn este artículo se pretende exponer, grosso modo, las formas variadas en las que el ciberpunk, subgénero de la literatura fantástica, recrea prospectivamente los elementos disonantes de la ciudad contemporánea para reflejarlas como espacios urbanos distópicos, ambientados en potenciales futuros cercanos. En el ciberpunk se refleja la desilusión posmoderna frente al fracaso del proyecto modernista, que en su pretensión de renovación radical de las formas tradicionales en el arte, la cultura, el pensamiento y la vida social, terminó desfigurando lo humano y vaciando de contenido todas sus esperanzas.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1This paper pretends to show briefly how the varied manners of cyberpunk, a fantastic literature’s sub-genre, has recreated these particularly discordant elements of the Modern City in order to reveal it as distopic urban spaces, in a possible nearby future. The cyberpunk literature aims at doing to reflect the postmodern disappointment in front of modernist project failure, which in its attempts to radical renewal of traditional paths in arts, culture, thought and social life has defaced the essential human horizon and has hollowed the meaning out to all human hopes.es_VE
