dc.description.abstractSe analizan los alcances y los límites de las teorías sobre el progreso científi co elaboradas por Larry Laudan y Philip Kitcher, respectivamente. En primer lugar se caracterizan sus teorías, después luego se hace una comparación entre éstas y fi nalmente se revisa cuáles son sus principales problemas. Posteriormente se muestran algunas razones por las cuales sus criterios propuestos para evaluar el progreso cognitivo de la ciencia no son exitosos. Se sugiere una forma de evaluar el progreso cognitivo de la ciencia.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1I address the scope and limits of the theories on scientifi c progress developed by Larry Laudan and Philip Kitcher, respectively. First, I characterize their theories, after I compare them and fi nally I check which are their main problems. At the end, I show some reasons why their criteria for evaluating the cognitive progress of science are not successful. I conclude suggesting a way to evaluate the progress of cognitive science.es_VE
