dc.description.abstractEn éste articulo se hace un acercamiento al proceso de etnogénesis o revitalización de la identidad étnica que viven los grupos indígenas de Lagunillas. Se analiza su participación en el ritual festivo en honor a San Isidro Labrador que se lleva a cabo durante los días 14 y 15 de mayo y culmina ocho días más tarde con el ritual denominado “Noche Indígena”, en el cual se danzas y ofrenda a la Laguna “madre de los indios.” Es una oportunidad exhibir los elementos diferenciadores y marcadores de la identidad étnica.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1This article approaches the process of ethnogenesis or ethnic identity revitalization experienced by indigenous peoples of Lagunillas. The article analyzes their participation in a festive ritual honoring San Isidro Labrador that takes place on May 14th and 15th, and ends eight days later with a ritual named “Indigenous night”; during this ritual people dance and make offerings to the Lagoon “mother of the Indians”. This is an opportunity to show elements that differentiate and mark the ethnic identity.es_VE
