dc.description.abstractEl artículo analiza el proceso de demarcación de hábitat y tierras de comunidades y pueblos indígenas del estado Bolívar, su articulación a las políticas de desarrollo nacional y ordenamiento territorial, en el marco ideológico de la construcción del Socialismo del Siglo XXI. Se realiza una breve descripción del contexto histórico de la titularidad de tierras indígenas en Venezuela, seguida por la georeferenciación de los pueblos indígenas del estado Bolívar, utilizando la categoría de cuencas hidrográficas. Finalmente se explica las fisuras que se han presentado en este proceso y se ofrecen algunas recomendaciones.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1This article analyses the process of demarcation of indigenous peoples’ and communities’ habitat and lands in Estado Bolívar (Venezuela). It also examines the articulation of that process with the national politics of development and territorial administration within the ideological frame of the so –called Socialism of the Twenty-First century. The article presents a brief description of the historical context of indigenous lands ownership in Venezuela, followed by a geo-location of the indigenous peoples in Estado Bolívar taken the category of hydrographic watersheds’ as a reference. There is finally an explanation of the rifts that have taken place in the process of habitat and land demarcation, which go along with recommendations for the improvement of that process.es_VE
