dc.description.abstractEn Venezuela se ha alcanzado un avance significativo en el diseño de políticas y mecanismos de planificación para la gestión ambiental, tendiente a articular las estrategias de conservación y aprovechamiento sustentable de los recursos naturales y del ambiente en general. Este adelanto también incluye un marco normativo amplio que abarca materia civil, administrativa y penal del ambiente, fundamentado en la actual doctrina constitucional, donde se establece los derechos ambientales para la población, se promueve la participación ciudadana, mediante el ejercicio del poder popular, como principio de corresponsabilidad para garantizar un ambiente sano para las poblaciones presentes y futuras de la nación. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la política y gestión ambiental participativa en Venezuela, se parte de una reseña histórica de las políticas ambientales y las pautas que la están caracterizando actualmente, luego se analizan los principales instrumentos legales que regulan la materia ambiental y de participación ciudadana. Finalmente se contextualiza la gestión ambiental desde el enfoque participativo individual y comunitario.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1In Venezuela, a significant advancement in the design of policies and mechanisms for planning environmental management has been obtained with a tendency to articulate conservation strategies and sustainable use of natural and environmental resources in general. This progress also includes the broader normative framework that covers civil, administrative, and criminal matters with respect to the environment based on the current constitutional doctrine, which establishes the environmental rights of the population, promotes citizen participation through the exercise of the people’s power, as the principle of co-responsibility for guaranteeing a healthy environment for all present and future populations of the nation. The objective of this work is to analyze the policies and participatory environmental management in Venezuela. In this sense, we begin with a historical review of the environmental policies and the guidelines that characterized them. Then, environmental legislation is analyzed and its citizen participation regulations. Finally, environmental management is contextualized from the individual and community participatory focus.es_VE
