Abstract
La presente investigación está relacionada con las decisiones publicadas por el Registro de la
Propiedad Industrial en materia de patentes de invención, después del retiro de Venezuela de la
Comunidad Andina. En este trabajo se refleja cómo la Oficina de Patentes se ha enfocado en la
aplicación de la Ley de Propiedad Industrial de 1955, al margen de las nuevas realidades que se
derivan del Convenio de París para la Protección de la Propiedad Industrial y el Acuerdo de los
Asuntos sobre Propiedad Intelectual Relacionados con el Comercio (ADPIC), de la Organización
Mundial del Comercio (OMC).
