dc.description.abstractLas transformaciones político-territoriales en la Venezuela decimonónica tienen un capítulo muy particular con la promulgación de la Constitución de 1881, que como es conocido por todos redujo los veinte estados establecidos por la Carta Magna de 1864, en nueve grandes unidades político-administrativas, producto de las ideas centralizadoras del poder de Antonio Guzmán Blanco. Este artículo se encargará de estudiar el proceso de integración, los conflictos, y la separación del territorio que integraron Portuguesa, Cojedes y Zamora (Barinas), entre 1881 y 1899. El trabajo se sustenta en fuentes hemerográficas de la época que reposan en la Biblioteca Febres Cordero de Mérida y documentación manuscrita del Archivo Histórico de la Asamblea Nacional de la ciudad de Caracas.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1The political-territorial transformations in the nineteenthcentury Venezuela have a very particular chapter with the promulgation of the Constitution of 1881, which since is known by all politician - administrative officer reduced twenty conditions established by the Magna Carta of 1864 in nine big units, product of the ideas centralizadoras of the power of Antonio Guzmán Blanco. This article will take charge studying the process of integration, the conflicts, and the separation of the territory that they integrated Portuguese, Cojedes and Zamora (Barinas), between 1881 and 1899.
