dc.description.abstractRedefinimos la figura del II marqués de Uztáriz como el más importante maestro de Simón Bolívar, superando el tópico de Simón Rodríguez y Andrés Bello. Recurrimos a fuentes epistolares entre Bolívar y sus tíos en Madrid y Bolívar y su prometida, Teresa Rodríguez, así como bibliografía sobre los personajes y el período; además de documentación del Archivo Histórico Nacional y del Archivo General de Indias. Hemos sopesado la influencia real de la figura del II marqués de Uztáriz en Bolívar, más determinante de lo que ha planteado la historiografía bolivariana.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1We redefine the figure of the II Marquis Uztariz as the most important teacher of Simón Bolívar, surpassing the topic of Simon Rodriguez and Andres Bello. Resort to sources epistolary between Bolivar and uncles in Madrid and Bolivar and his fiancee Teresa Rodriguez as well as literature about the characters and the period and documentation for the National Historical Archive (section State and Treasury) and the General Archive of Indias. We evaluated the actual influence of the figure of the II Marquis Uztariz in Bolivar, more decisive than it has raised the Bolivarian historiography.es_VE
