| dc.description.abstract | La importancia del linaje Briceño en el devenir histórico venezolano y merideño en particular, desde la época colonial hasta
nuestros días, trasciende la mera actuación de una familia de la élite. Considerando así la necesidad del conocimiento de la familia para la comprensión de la intervención del individuo en la esfera social, nos proponemos a través del presente estudio, el análisis de los atributos materiales (posesiones de tierras, esclavos, bienes muebles, etc.) y simbólicos (calidades sociales y jurídicas, relaciones sociales, formación académica y religiosa) que acompañaron a sus integrantes en sus dos primeras generaciones durante el siglo XVIII. | es_VE |
