| dc.description.abstract | Las líneas que componen este trabajo se refieren a algunas reflexiones
desarrolladas por Gumilla desde su perspectiva enmarcada en la cristiandad.
De lo que se deriva su importancia porque los argumentos extendidos fueron
estructurados bajo el impacto de la Ilustración y su alcance americano. De ahí
que lo mayormente destacado en esta oportunidad se concentre en este asunto,
junto con algunas de sus consideraciones acerca del origen y cualidades étnicas
del hombre americano. Todo ello enmarcado en una visión del mundo en
proximidad con el relativismo cultural bastante extendido durante los tiempos
