dc.description.abstractEl presente artículo está orientado a realizar una aproximación desde un contexto médico-legal, al estudio del consumo de la marihuana, destacando los aspectos que le son inherentes. Se abordan de manera generalizada los aspectos históricos que enmarcan la introducción de la marihuana (Cannabis sativa) a las diversas regiones del mundo, pasando por los nocivos efectos en quienes la consumen. Asimismo, se desarrollan algunos de los mitos e hitos que rodean el consumo de esta planta, además de su legalización. El estudio fi naliza con el caso venezolano.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1The present article is oriented to make an approximation from a medicallegal context, to the study of marijuana consumption, highlighting the aspects that are inherent to it. The historical aspects that frame the introduction of marijuana (Cannabis sativa) to the various regions of the world are addressed in a generalized manner, including the harmful effects on those who consume it. Also, some of the myths and milestones that surround the consumption of this plant are developed, in addition to its legalization. The study ends with the Venezuelan case.es_VE
