| dc.description.abstract | Esta investigación tiene por objetivo conocer el impacto del uso de las tecnologías de la información
y la comunicación en el ámbito educativo específicamente en la enseñanza de la geografía a través
de la implementación de un atlas basado en hipermapas. Se presentó un prototipo de un atlas para el
aprendizaje significativo de la geografía regional y local en el municipio Miranda estado Mérida, ante
esto los estudiantes manifestaron un alto nivel de interés por esta nueva estrategia de enseñanza. Los
resultados obtenidos tras la aplicación de las encuestas afirman que es de suma importancia incluir en
el proceso de aprendizaje estrategias de enseñanza basadas en instrumentos electrónicos para alcanzar
el aprendizaje significativo, que se presenta como el fin actual de la educación venezolana; tomando
en consideración que la tecnología representa un eje de acción en la vida diaria de los estudiantes,
además esto permitiría el desarrollo del turismo local en esta localidad antes mencionada. | es_VE |

| dc.description.abstract1 | This research aims to understand the impact of the use of information technology and communication
in education specifically in teaching geography through the implementation of an atlas based on
hypermaps. A prototype for meaningful learning atlas of regional and local geography in the town
was presented Miranda Mérida state, before the students expressed a high level of interest in this new
teaching strategy. The results obtained after applying the polls say it is very important to include in
the process of learning teaching strategies based on electronic tools to achieve meaningful learning,
which is presented as the current end of the Venezuelan education; considering that the technology
represents a line of action in the daily lives of students, and this would allow the development of
