| dc.description.abstract | En el presente artículo se plantean los costos y beneficios del Sistema Unitario
de Compensación Regional de Pagos (SUCRE). Para ello se revisan los
fundamentos teóricos que dan origen a los sistemas de compensación y crédito,
se examina la evidencia histórica de la utilización de sistemas de pagos en
los distintos bloques regionales existentes en Latinoamérica y se describe el
