| dc.description.abstract | La siguiente investigación tiene como propósito
el desarrollo de un Sistema de Información
Geográfica (SIG) para el monitoreo
de las Áreas Geoestadísticas Urbanas del
Municipio San Cristóbal del Estado Táchira
como núcleo demográfico de la frontera colombo
venezolana. Para tal fin, los siguientes
objetivos se proponen como específicos:
descripción de los procedimientos utilizados
para generar información en la Unidad de Sistema
de Información Geográfico y Estadístico
(SIGE) del Instituto Nacional de Estadística
(INE) - Táchira, adelantar estudios de factibilidad
técnica, económica y operativa para
su desarrollo, identificar las áreas urbanas del
Municipio San Cristóbal, definir los temas
de estudio para monitorear las áreas geoestadísticas,
diseñar la tabla de datos, generar las
áreas geoestadísticas, verificar los resultados
aplicando pruebas de caja negra e implantar

| dc.description.abstract1 | The following research aims to develop a
Geographic Information System (GIS) for
monitoring Urban Areas Township Geostatistical
San Cristobal CountyTáchira state as
the core demographic Venezuelan Colombian
border. To this end, the following specific
objectives are proposed: a description of the
procedures used to generate information on
the Unit Information System Geography and
Statistics (EMIS) of the National Statistics
Institute (INE) - Táchira, advance technical
feasibility studies, economic and operational
development, identifying the urban areas of
the municipality of San Cristobal, defining
topics of study to monitor areas geostatistical
data table design, generate geostatistical
areas, verify test results by applying black
box and implement the system. The study incorporates
feasible project mode supported by
a descriptive design field. The methodology
was based on life cycle analysis and design of
information systems Senn (1992). As a tangible
result was obtained a new tool for spatial
information management for managing urban
timely information in relation to six (6) categories:
population, housing deficit, education,
labor, poverty and structures. | |
