dc.description.abstractLa creación de la Unión Latinoamericana de Agencias de Noticias motiva a rescatar los antecedentes de muchos estudiosos de la comunicación en América Latina. Quienes han estado preocupados por el desequilibrio informativo en la región; lo que ha acentuado la dominación y la dependencia al crearse un receptor desinformado sin una visión crítica de lo que recibe de los medios. Las preocupaciones de la ULAN están esbozadas por profesores universitarios y periodistas que han observado las intenciones de los emisores para que no se comprendan muchas situaciones en el continente. Es por ello que la ULAN tiene la urgente tarea de contribuir a formar integralmente y actualizar a los pueblos a los que les sirve para que la información les convierta en ciudadanos o ciudadanas con una participación clave en el desarrollo local.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1The creation of the Latin American Union of News Agencies (ULAN) motivates the review of many communication scholars in Latin America, who have been concerned about the information asymmetry in the region. That imbalance has increased domination and dependence, as a fully informed receptor fully has not been created to have a critique vision of what he receives from the media. ULAN’s concerns are outlined by university professors and journalists who have pointed out the intentions of issuers of not fully understanding many situations on the continent.
