| dc.description.abstract | A grandes rasgos se revisa la actividad editorial desarrollada por
la Biblioteca de Autores y Temas Tachirenses, ente creado en 1960
por un grupo de personalidades encabezado por el doctor Ramón
J. Velásquez con la finalidad de divulgar los valores culturales de la
región andina, y en especial, del estado Táchira. Hasta el presente se
han publicado 193 títulos sobre diversas materias de interés nacional,
regional y local. Al lado de los autores clásicos, figuran otros nombres
entre los menos conocidos, bien sea porque no se ha difundido de
manera suficiente su obra, o porque apenas se inician en el oficio de
la creación intelectual. Son diversos los temas abordados: historia,
literatura, folklore, gastronomía, alimentación, economía, filología,

| dc.description.abstract1 | Broadly speaking, we review the editorial activity developed
by the Library of Authors and Topics from Táchira state, an entity
created in 1960 by a group of persons led by Dr. Ramon J. Velasquez
with the aim of spreading the cultural values of the Andean region,
and especially of Táchira state. So far 193 titles have been published
on various matters of national, regional and local levels. Alongside the
classics, there are other names among the least known, either because
it has not sufficiently disseminated his work, or because they just start
at the office of intellectual creation. There are various topics covered:
history, literature, folklore, gastronomy, food, economics, philology,
