dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo intenta, por un lado, explorar la noción de literatura decadente en el ámbito fi nisecular europeo, su desplazamiento y resignifi cación en la literatura latinoamericana y venezolana, y, por otro, visualizar las plurales relaciones entre modernidad y decadencia, las identifi caciones y los contrastes entre una sensibilidad amenazada por la noción técnica de progreso y la percepción de sí mismo como lugar de desastre, desplegándose la experiencia de asumir el trabajo artístico como refl exión y melancolía.es_VE
