La arquitectura moderna bajo la mirada de la deconstrucción: metáfora, representación e interpretación en Venezuela

Abstract
Establecer alianzas entre la filosofía y la arquitectura es el hilo conductor de este artículo. Se
trata de acercarse al planteamiento de Jacques Derrida con la deconstrucción –a partir de la
metáfora como estrategia de lectura–, y la arquitectura moderna en Venezuela, en este caso, desde la
perspectiva de la historia de la arquitectura. Existen conceptos comunes entre el lenguaje y la
historia que se cruzan en esta arquitectura; tanto en la lectura como en la arquitectura hay un
proceso de representación del pensamiento, en una, a través de las palabras, en la otra, mediante la
ocupación del espacio.

It is about approaching the proposal of Jacques Derrida with deconstruction–from the metaphor as a reading strategy–, and modern architecture in Venezuela, in this case, from the perspective of the history of architecture. There are common concepts between language and history that intersect in this architecture; both in reading and in architecture there is a process of representation of thought, in one, through words, in the other, through the occupation of space. |
