La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar la riqueza de las fuentes
testamentarias que obran en el Archivo Histórico Provincial de Cádiz, uno de los más
importantes del país, y que nos hacen partícipes de lo cotidiano, de la vida, y muy
especialmente de la muerte, que convive con el hombre, condicionando su vida y su
quehacer diario. Comprobaremos cómo el hombre del siglo XVIII afrontaba el
omnipresente tema de la muerte a través de los protocolos notariales, más específicamente
de los testamentos, que nos han permitido una aproximación cuantitativa, y nos han
ofrecido la posibilidad de acercarnos al inconsciente colectivo, y a la vida cotidiana de un
sector social concreto de la población, la burguesía de la Carrera de Indias, limitado en el espacio y tiempo a la cosmopolita y burguesa ciudad gaditana del siglo XVIII.

Resumen en otro Idioma | The present investigation has as aim analyze the wealth of the testamentary sources that act in the Historical Provincial File of Cadiz, one of the most important of the country, and that there do to us participants of the daily thing, of the life, and very specially of the death, which coexists with the man, determining his life and his daily occupation. We will verify how the man of the 18th century was confronting the omnipresent topic of the death across the notarial protocols, more specifically of the testaments, which have allowed us a quantitative approximation, and have offered us the possibility of approaching the unconscious group, and the daily life of a social concrete sector of the population, the middle class of the Career of The Indies, limited in the space and time the cosmopolitan and bourgeois from Cadiz city of the 18th century. |
