Abstract
Nicolás Rolando (1885-1914) formó parte activa de la oposición durante el gobierno de Cipriano Castro (1889-1908), participó en diversas conspiraciones y en la Revolución Libertadora en la cual fue vencido. El artículo presenta una revisión historiográfica del personaje, señala omisiones y equivocaciones en la cronología y acciones del personaje, al compararlas con su archivo personal e inédito. Esta fuente documental permitió la ubicación precisa en el tiempo en que actuó, además de revelar información confidencial no registrada en otras fuentes.
