Ensayo clínico fase III. Empleo del adhesivo tisular Tisuacryl® en el cierre de heridas del complejo maxilofacial

Abstract
Se evaluó la efectividad y seguridad del Tisuacryl® como método alternativo en el tratamiento de heridas cutáneas faciales y de la mucosa bucal. Se realizó un ensayo clínico fase III (ECF) con la participaron de 26 instituciones clínicas y hospitalarias de todo el país y la colaboración de Venezuela y México con una duración de 1 año y 4 meses. incluyendo 439 pacientes masculinos y femeninos cuyas edades estuvieron comprendidas entre menos de un año y 80 años con consentimiento de participación por escrito. Las heridas tratadas fueron incisiones quirúrgicas y laceraciones producidas por trauma facial, mucogingivales poco profundas en regiones de piel de la cara y mucosa bucal. Se incluyeron las heridas con una longitud menor de 3 cm en la piel y de 5 cm en la mucosa con separación entre los bordes a afrontar menor de 0,5 cm en ambos casos. La variable principal fue aparición de dehiscencias en el período comprendido entre los 5 y 15 minutos y a los 7-9 días posteriores al tratamiento. La efectividad general fue 96,6%, siendo esta efectividad del 97,1% en la mucosa y del 95,2% en las heridas faciales. No hubo dehiscencias secundarias ni por infección.

The wounds were treated surgical incisions and lacerations caused by facial trauma, mucogingival little deeper in regions of skin of the face and oral mucosa. We included the wounds with a length of less than 3 cm in the skin and mucous in the 5 cm with a separation between the edges to face less than 0.5 cm in both cases. The primary variable was occurrence of dehiscences in the period between 5 and 15 minutes and 7-9 days after treatment. The overall effectiveness was 96.6%, being this efficacy of 97.1% in mucosal and 95.2% for facial injuries. There was no dehiscences or secondary infection. |
