| dc.description.abstract | El auge del cooperativismo en Venezuela ha sido creciente desde la aprobación de la Constitución Nacional de 1999, de la Ley de Asociaciones Cooperativas en el año 2001 y las políticas de apoyo a este tipo de organización. Esto ha traído consigo un amplio espacio de discusión sobre el fenómeno cooperativo en el país, implicando diferentes agentes sociales. El objetivo del presente artículo es discutir los significados asociados a la relación entre políticas públicas y las cooperativas actualmente en el país. A partir de entrevistas realizadas a figuras relevantes en el mundo del cooperativismo en Venezuela, se exponen los significados asociados a las relaciones entre gobierno y cooperativas en Venezuela. Éstos muestran los diferentes posicionamientos sobre cómo se han impulsado las cooperativas desde el gobierno y las consecuencias que pueden acarrear las acciones de apoyo gubernamental para las iniciativas cooperativas. | es_VE |

This has resulted in a large space for discussion on the cooperative phenomenon in the country, involving different social actors. The aim of this article is to discuss the meanings associated with the relationship between public policy and cooperatives currently in the country. Based on interviews with important figures in the world of cooperatives in Venezuela, it sets out the meanings
associated with the relationship between government and cooperatives in Venezuela. They show the different positions on how the government has promoted cooperatives and the consequences that may result in the actions of government support in the
