dc.description.abstractThe Center of Ethnological Research (CIET) was born out of the Center of Anthropological Research of ULA's Ganzalo Gonzalo Rincón Gutiérrez Archaeological Museum. It has had a legal existence since 1995 having been officially recognized by the Scientific, Humanistic, and Technological Development Council (CDHT) and the University Council of ULA. CIET has four principal areas of research-instruction, which are the product of the dynamics which existed before its creation: Ethnology and Social Anthropology, Archaeology, Geography and Regional History, Ethnolinguistics-Anthropolinguistics. To these areas, a fifth is added which is guided by its research group: Bioanthropology.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1El Centro de Investigaciones Etnológicas (CIET) nació del Centro de Investigaciones Antropológicas del Museo Arqueológico Gonzalo Rincón Gutiérrez, de la misma Universidad, y tiene existencia legal desde 1995, habiendo sido reconocido oficialmente por el Consejo de Desarrollo Científico, Humanístico y Tecnológico (CDCHT) y el Consejo Universitario de la U.L.A. El CIET tiene cuatro áreas principales de investigación-docencia, las cuales son el producto de la dinámica anterior a su creación: Etnología y Antropología Social, Arqueología, Geografía e Historia Regional, y Etnolingüística-Antropolingüística. A éstas se agrega una quinta área, atendida también por su grupo de investigación: Bioantropología.es_VE
